Wow! What an amazing journey it has been ! So much covered- so many new things learnt. I have really enjoyed my experience. It was great having the oppurtunity to work with a group to complete the course and being guided so competently by our resident IT guru at the school. It was a great format especially when there were new concepts that were quite tricky. A demonstration beforehand and step by step guidance really helps. There was alot in the course that is highly applicable to the classroom environment and so much to consider to enhance the learning experience. I am currently teaching Kinder but am looking forward to moving to an older grade for 2010 and putting alot of these amazing things into practice. I particularly like the use of blogs, Flickr and Picassa style programs as well as the concept of social networking and sharing. These will be very useful in the classroom, allowing students to learn from one another and teaching them to identify useful information. The format of the Web 2.0 course has been easy to follow and ensures praticle application of skills. The layout has made it easy to follow and the links in each module are fantastic, especially the video links which demonstrate the use of each new tool. A wonderful experience- Thankyou!

Module Ten
Another busy day of exploring great things
I love the story mapping concept and the possibilities it brings
Students could present so many ideas in this way
This tool could be used almost everyday!
It even allows for images, video and sound
And so many free sites when you just look around.
With another look at the wet paint site i saw
that is allows for sharing of photos, links and much more.
Blooms taxonomy is a concept that we are adding to our teaching
and it's great to see the high levels that students are reaching.
Encouraging learning at each childs level of need
they can progress at their individual speed.
Catering for the many types of learners we see
This implementation in teaching is the way the future should be!
Module 9
Today's module was focussed on a program that is lots of fun
At Holy Family it gets a good run
A program we like to use lots and lots
Scootle looks like just game but just that it's not!
It's full of learning tools presented with zest
to help our dear students to achieve their best.
Then onto social networking we went
with which i'm familar many photos i'm sent.
Facebook is a good one of these tools
and can be quite useful when use with strict rules.
Second life was something quite new and quite raw
It's use in the classroom though-i'm not so sure.
And Twitter is an ever growing faze
But can be very useful when used in the right way.
A very busy lesson exploring the concept of sharing
with my new found knowledge i'm feeling quite daring!!!

Module Eight
Google reader is a useful site
to take site searching to another height.
A way to access content from the web
without storing it all in your head.
With i-google it does link
now i have a gadget so i don't have to think
Now i'm subscribed to the blogs of my friends
and i can visit their sites again and again.
A good session for a google reader intro
Another thing i can now do that before i did not know!
to take site searching to another height.

Module Seven

Module seven was a blast
a lesson in accessing websites nice and fast
social bookmarking to learn from one another
accessing sites that have been useful for others
using the bookmarks to add as my own
allows great websites to become more widely known
tags allows searching to be more direct
delicious can be used to great effect!
I will use this both to share and to gain
- it makes finding websites less of a pain.

Module seven
Module seven was quite tough
and did cause me to huff and puff
Perserverence paid off in the end
though much time i did spend
I learnt alot that will be helpful to me
and useful in the classroom these tools will be
Children can create electronic concept maps
and share their thoughts and knowledge perhaps
Bubbl.us does this well
and glogster is just swell.
Both would be popular within the class room
These might be employed in my classroom soon.

Module Five
In Module five, of podcasts and vodcasts we dealt
A useful tool in the classroom I felt
We can teach with these audio and visual tools
and the kids can explore them with a few guiding rules.
i-pod, teacher- tube, you tube to name a few sites
to help all the children to reach maximum heights.
They can create stories as well as listen and link
some more techy things to get our children to think!
